The design criteria for this logo project was simple, clean, and modern. A stylized maple leaf was created for the icon in keeping with the location of the church in Michigan. The previous church logo was outdated in it’s appearance and needed to be updated. Signage, website, and other visual identity pieces will soon be created and a fresh logo was needed that could fit well into a variety of contexts. Overall, the client was very pleased with the concept and execution of the new identity.

SHIFT is a new youth ministry beginning this fall at Grace Gathering. As with any new program, it needed a visual identity/logo and the result was a playful design that literally “shifts”. For example, the face of the word can start in the upper-most right corner and reach back to the lower-left corner, or the face can start at the lower-left corner and reach back to the upper-right corner. Once you’ve seen it both ways, the logo visually jumps back and forth, or shifts, when you look at it. The announcement slide design is shown below.
