*UPDATE: Check out the new website at www.66clouds.com!
Sixty-Six Clouds is a collection of beautiful visualizations of word frequency in the Bible. A unique word cloud was created for each of the 66 books of the Bible. The significance of word clouds is that they quickly present viewers with the gist of written materials at a glance. Greater size is given to words that appear more frequently in the source text. Therefore, the larger the word is in the cloud, the more prominent it is in the text. The word limit was set at 150 and many common words and all numbers were removed from the text when the word clouds were created. The same parameters were used for all sixty-six books of the Bible to give Sixty-Six Clouds a consistent style and appearance. All Sixty-Six Clouds images are subject to Copyright © Sixty-Six Clouds. Visit www.66clouds.com for more information and to view of all the word clouds.
Visit www.66clouds.com/bible to view the entire Bible as a single word cloud.

@moni,
Thanks for the encouraging note. Glad to hear the clouds were an inspiration to you during a rough time. Also, I love the illustration work I’ve seen on your blog. Hope to stay in touch and see more of your portfolio in the future. Blessings.
-Brad
Thank you, your visual works comforted my frustrated mind today…
I’m also a graphic designer; and only a week remains to apply for postgraduate course. Yesterday, I lost all my design data in external disk in a sudden… I handed it over to a technician a minute ago. I feel so depressed that I have to work on my portfolio without any source…
Not bringing my bible, I googled 1kings and found your works. Seems Lord is telling me something through your works. Brilliant! hope you keep designing with bible.
These are truly fantastic! I’d like to use them as a podcast image for our in-depth and overview Bible studies that we are beginning to podcast. Would that be an acceptable use of these images?
Truly amazing…how Great is the Word Made Flesh!
Brad great job man.Very impressed by the professional way you have presented this, and made it free to download, where you could have charged. I have been using wordle for a long time doing chapters of the Bible EG John 4, printing them on stickers for the kids in Sunday school to discuss. I am a special needs teacher, and it is a very powerful exercise where you hide the book and get the kids to talk feeback on what they think the main message is.
I have wanted to do books of the bible for ages but founf it too hard. I am so excited to see this, all done for you.
I am going to do missionary work in South Africa for 2 years, (done 2 years in Jamaica and 2 in India) teaching in the townships. So your wordles will be in Margate townships with the kids reading the word of God.
Thank you.
Brilliant. I LOVE IT!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing these with the world. :)
What a blessing. Thank you for using your creative talent for “our blessings.”
I will definitely use these in leading Bible studies but also as screen saver.
Thank you!!!! May the Lord bless you for your gift.
@jared
The original source text was the New International Version of the Bible. However, the word limit was set at 150 and many common words (and, the, of, a, etc.) and all numbers were meticulously filtered out of the text before it was imported into Wordle. The exact same parameters were used for all sixty-six books of the Bible to give Sixty-Six Clouds a consistent style and appearance.
great! which bible version is this?
@Rick Harrell,
You are very welcome. Always glad to hear when they have been put to good use.
-Brad
Thanks so much for these wonderful word clouds – I have used several in my powerpoints for sermons.
This is incredible. You should considering selling the poster-sized versions of these. I would buy a couple!
I am floored. This is awesome!
[...] Visually lovely versions of various biblical texts — done as word clouds. [...]
@Deborah
No problem. You can use them however you like, except for publishing or selling. Glad you like them and found a good way to use them. Blessings.
-Brad
I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve copied each of these to use as a desktop background. I plan to change them every day to use as a meditation and prayer reminder. These are the most usful tool I have ever seen to bring God’s Word to mind. I appreciate all the time you must have put into making these. I am even more grateful that you have so graciously decided to share them. Thank you so very much. God bless you.
tq. great visuals.
